This Cookie Policy explains how movetosevilla.com (“we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information.
Section 6 explains plainly how we handle cookie consent and, more importantly, how to refuse the analytics and advertising cookies described below. If you do not wish to accept them, you can disable cookies by adjusting your browser settings or by using the controls listed there.
2. What Are Cookies?

They allow the website to recognize your device and remember if you've been to the website before. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, movetosevilla.com) are called “first-party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third-party cookies”. Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., analytics, advertising, or video content).

3.1 Necessary Cookies

We set no first-party cookies of our own for site functionality. The two items above are browser storage rather than cookies, but we list them here because they are stored on your device in the same way.
3.2 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website, which is how we decide what to improve. Reporting is aggregated, but it is not anonymous: as explained in section 3.3, Google Signals is enabled, so Google may link this activity to the account of a signed-in Google user.

We use Microsoft Clarity for session recording and heatmaps to understand how visitors interact with our pages (where they scroll, hesitate, or leave). Recordings are aggregated and used only to improve the website. Text you type into forms is masked by default and is not captured in recordings.
3.3 Advertising Cookies and Storage
We advertise on Google. These identifiers let us measure which advertisements produce enquiries, and allow Google to personalise the advertising you see.

When you send us an enquiry, your email address is also converted in your browser into an irreversible SHA-256 hash and sent to Google so it can match the enquiry to the advertisement you clicked and build advertising audiences. Google receives the hash, never the plain-text address. This is described more fully in sections 3 and 7 of our Privacy Policy.

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. 5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. We use services from the following third parties that may set cookies on our website:

- Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity for session recording and heatmaps, with form inputs masked by default. You can learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Google Ads: We advertise on Google and measure which advertisements produce enquiries. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are enabled, so Google may associate this activity with the Google account of visitors who are signed in and have enabled personalised advertising. 6. Cookie Consent
We want to be straightforward with you about this. We do not show a cookie banner, and we do not ask for your consent before the analytics and advertising cookies described above are set. They are set when you load the site.
Here is our reasoning. This site exists to help non-EU nationals move to Spain, and the large majority of the people reading it are outside the European Union — typically in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Latin America. A consent pop-up would interrupt every one of those visitors in order to address a rule written for a minority of our traffic. We would rather run a site without pop-ups, tell you exactly what we collect on this page, and give you controls that actually work. If you are in the EU or the EEA, the consent rules described in section 7 do apply to your visit, and we would rather say so directly than imply a consent step that does not exist.
These are the real ways to refuse this tracking. We would rather point to them plainly than bury them:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, using the links in section 4 above. This is the most complete option and works for every service listed on this page.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics entirely.
- Turn off personalised advertising in your Google My Ad Center settings, which also governs Google Signals.
- Use a browser or extension that blocks third-party trackers. We do not attempt to defeat these.
- Write to us using the details in section 9 and we will delete the enquiry data we hold about you, including any hashed identifiers we have shared, and stop further processing.
7. Legal Basis
The strictly necessary items in section 3.1 are stored because they are required to deliver a working, secure website, and to remember a preference you set yourself.
The analytics and advertising items in sections 3.2 and 3.3 are not strictly necessary, and two separate rules bear on them:
- The processing itself. Under the GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in understanding how this site is used and in measuring which advertising actually produces enquiries. Without that measurement we cannot tell which pages help people or which advertising is wasted. We consider this a limited, low-impact use of data: we do not sell it, we do not profile you for any purpose beyond our own advertising, and you can object at any time.
- Storing the cookies on your device. This is governed separately by the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC), implemented in Spain through the Ley de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información and supervised alongside the Ley Orgánica 3/2018. For visitors in the EU, that rule normally calls for prior consent, and as explained in section 6 we do not collect it. Section 6 sets out both our reasoning and the controls that let you refuse.
You retain every right described in section 9 of our Privacy Policy, including the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. Any changes will be posted on this page, and if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
